Physics – C01 Kinematics (Demo)
What’s on the Specification
| P3.1 | Kinematics:
|
Learning Objectives
- Define and distinguish between key kinematic quantities: distance, displacement, speed, velocity, and acceleration, identifying them as scalars or vectors.
- Interpret and perform calculations using distance-time, displacement-time, speed-time, and velocity-time graphs, including finding gradients and areas.
- Know, derive, and apply the equations of motion for uniform acceleration (SUVAT equations) in one dimension and for free-fall.
- Analyse projectile motion by resolving initial velocity into horizontal and vertical components and applying SUVAT equations independently.
- Understand and apply the concept of relative velocity in 1D and simple 2D scenarios.
